Jacob Kiel is an associate attorney at Stange Law Firm. From our office in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, he can assist individuals throughout Linn County, Iowa, and the surrounding areas.

Jacob attended Drake University Law School, where he earned his Juris Doctor in May 2023. During law school, he served as Vice President of the St. Jude Club, Treasurer of the Drake Outdoor Leadership Club, Philanthropy Chair for Sigma Phi Epsilon, and volunteered with Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). Before pursuing his law degree, Jacob earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management from Drake University in May 2019. Jacob is currently licensed to practice law in the state of Iowa.

Before joining Stange Law Firm in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Jacob recently worked for a law firm in West Des Moines, Iowa. In this role, he conducted research and wrote memorandums on complex legal issues to assist in case strategy development, drafted a certiorari brief to the U.S. Supreme Court as well as various other motions, reviewed and analyzed evidence in detail for trial preparation, and maintained regular communication with clients to discuss case progress and further develop case strategies. Jacob also held various legal roles throughout his law school career, including as a writer/researcher for the Honorable Romonda Belcher in Des Moines, IA, and as a legal assistant for law firms in Ankeny, Iowa, and Peoria, IL.

Outside of his legal work, Jacob enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, and exploring new areas. Together with his wife, Jacob also enjoys working on home renovation projects.
