Shawn attended the Thomas M. Cooley Law School at Western Michigan University, where he earned his Juris Doctor in May 2022. During his legal studies, Shawn was also named to the Dean’s List in 2021 and 2022. Before studying law, he attended Wayne State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance in May 2017. Shawn is licensed to practice law in the state of Indiana.

Before joining Stange Law Firm, specializing in divorce and family law in Indianapolis, Indiana, Shawn spent the previous three years working as a legal assistant at a law firm in Troy, Michigan. In this role, he assisted with legal research on personal injury and no-fault cases in Michigan, drafted responses to interrogatories by consulting with clients and reviewing files, provided status updates on cases to litigating clients, and reviewed and summarized medical records for mediations and trial preparation. Shawn also worked as a legal assistant and student attorney throughout his legal studies. Working in these roles gave him valuable legal experience in trial preparation and depositions, legal research, client communication, and drafting and reviewing legal documents.
