S. Balt Saddam Hussein

Hussein is an Associate at Puyat Jacinto and Santos (PJS) Law.

He is also a Certified Public Accountant and used to work for the revenue arm of TV5 Network, Inc. as a Finance Supervisor for more than five (5) years before joining the Firm. He also used to be an Associate practicing External Audit for Isla Lipana & Co., a Philippine member firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).

• Various clients: Assisted clients in their tax audit conducted by the BIR, their queries and concerns related to business taxation, their tax filings including Capital Gains Tax and Documentary Stamp Tax, and securing Certificate Authorizing Registration, Certificate of Exemption through Tax Treaty Relief Application, and tax clearances from the BIR.

• Various clients: Assisted in the recovery of various taxes paid under protest before administrative and judicial bodies.

• Confidential client: Assisted in the financial rehabilitation of a corporation in the Philippines.

• Various clients: Conducted several due diligences across various industries including business process outsourcing, energy, banking, insurance, consultancy, real estate, and healthcare.

• Various clients: Assisted clients in their applications with the Banko Sentral ng Pilipinas including application for Bangko Sentral Registration Document.

• Various clients: Acted as Assistant Corporate Secretary for clients and assisted them in their regulatory compliance with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

• Various clients: Assisted in the incorporation of several domestic corporations and in the registration of branches with the SEC including the post-registration activities such as registration with the various government agencies and securing business permits with the local government.
